FUNCTION
Responsible to create the Vera Bradley experience through overall store operations management while executing against financial goals. Responsibilities include exceptional customer service; visual merchandising; staff management, development and training; upholding store image standards; general store operations; and sales goal achievement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned)

Drive selling strategy and store behavors in order to reach quarterly and annual sales goals.
Achieve store goals for payroll, loss prevention, conversion, UPT and ADS.
Drive a culture of ownership, innovation and sales focus within the team.
Analyze information to inform and react to business plans, including retail best practices, competitive initiatives and consumer insights to drive sales and deliver KPI expectations.
Responsible for generating new sales opportunities through community activation and outreach to drive growth within store.
Maintain payroll budget, and manage controllable expenses to maximize profitability.
Participate in the success of assigned dynamic retail location opportunities.
Develop Vera Bradley loyalty by creating an outstanding experience for both associates and customers including customer clienteling. Collaborate with District Manager and corporate marketing to drive localized marketing initiatives.
Lead the team with exceptional sales and strong presence while on the floor, setting the pace for team.
Communicate the Vera Bradley brand aesthetic, philosophy and lifestyle to the sales associates and guests.
Uphold the Vera Bradley brand standards through exceptional visual merchandising
Provide a clean, organized and inviting environment for both customers and associates
Oversee daily, weekly, monthly processes to ensure operational integrity
Manage all human resource related tasks including recruiting, onboarding and I-9 compliance, performance management, payroll and scheduling, health and safety, and store security
Maintain a knowledge of established policies and procedures
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Graduate or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Retail Management or related field preferred
Prior retail experience strongly preferred
2 years management experience required; or proven Vera Bradley management ability required
Experience with retail POS system a plus
Proven experience engaging community through local outreach and in store events and partnerships

Constant walking and standing; frequent bending, stooping and reaching
Must be able to work with strong fragrances and scents in the form of eau de toilette, burning candles, bath and shower gel, body lotion, hand cream and bar soap throughout the work day.
Strong sensory skills such as good eyesight, good hearing, and dexterity
Ability to consistently lift 10-35 lbs; Occasionally lift up to 55 lbs with the ability to push or pull more than 55 lbs
Occasional overnight travel as required for company business
