Scope
As a Cashier, you will be responsible for playing a strong supporting role in the creation of a polished yet unpretentious dining experience; one which will be savored long after the last bite is a memory.
Primary Job Duties
Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
Provide exceptional service.
Maintain professional grooming and appearance.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
All requests are promptly fulfilled in accordance with policies and procedures.
Receive payment from food servers and perform all cashier duties.
Reviews the items ordered for accuracy.
Maintains control over checks issued.
Operates cash register and properly settles checks, pays out tips to service personnel, completes the Food & Beverage requisition procedure.
Adhere to established cash control policies and procedures.
Responsible for complying with Title 26 policies and procedures.
Handle cash and cash transactions accurately to protect the assets of the company.
Operate as a member of a team: help others and request help as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
At least one year experience as a cashier in a high volume restaurant.
At least one year previous cash handling, customer service experience
A highly motivated and energetic personality with a strong commitment to excellence in hospitality.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English.
Effectively assist with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, tact, friendliness, poise and firmness.
Excellent customer service skills.
Polished appearance and demeanor.
Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Must have valid work authorization for the US
At least 21 years of age.
Preferred:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a large, luxury resort setting.

Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination including flashing lights and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
