DSW Merchant Teams research fashion trends to get the right product into our stores that our customers will love!  Our Merchants are also implementing assortment plans to maximize gross profit by coordinating sales, margin, inventory turnover, promotions, and markdowns for their specific categories by working with cross-functional partners across the business.  These partners include DSW Marketing, Transportation, Finance, Merchandising Planning, Central Planning, etc.

The Merchandising interns will assist all Merchant levels with all aspects of style (product) and purchase order processing.  At the end of the program, interns will have a better understanding of the Merchandising function within DSW.

 

*Internships will begin Summer 2022 (Mid to late May) and last for 12 weeks. *All interns are full-time, paid positions based in Columbus, OH (hybrid - onsite & remote) *All interns must be able to pay for their own housing and transportation while in Columbus *Only the candidates who meet the internship requirements will be contacted for interviews *All interns will be required to complete a project at the end of the internship program *This opportunity is only open to SOPHOMORE, JUNIOR, and SENIOR candidates at this time, local candidates preferred *Relocation and housing expenses will not be covered by Designer Brands
 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:

*Knowledge of Retail Industry *Strong written and verbal communication, organization skills *Strong attention to detail *Innovative thinker *Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills needed to analyze queried data *Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Retail Merchandising, Marketing or Business-related field
