Description:
King University is looking for a multimedia resource coordinator to help support internal and external public relations and marketing needs. This is a full-time, on-campus role reporting to the AVP of Marketing & Communications. Central duties include:
• Capturing, producing and posting visual and written content on various platforms, including pictures, videos, feature stories, and news releases
• Maintaining the viability and freshness of social media accounts
• Monitoring comments and messages, as needed
• Updating content on the University website
• Serving as a central media contact, establishing positive relationships with local and regional news outlets
• Working to maintain positive internal communication channels between departments to facilitate the flow of information
Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media management is needed. A successful track record in a fast-paced media or agency environment is a plus
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree in a related field preferred
• Communication Skills: Exceptional, precise verbal and written communication skills needed, along with the ability to collaborate and work effectively with a range of audiences
• Leadership Skills: Excellent organizational skills required, along with the ability to act and think independently in an environment where multiple projects are ongoing
• Computer Skills: Highly proficient knowledge of, and experience with, Microsoft Office, social media posting suites, and WordPress are a necessity
• Physical Exertion Requirements: Medium work as defined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics
• Schedule Flexibility: Some evening and weekend work is expected
• Driving History: Must qualify to drive an employer-owned vehicle
Responsibilities:
• Use discretion and professionalism at all times, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and security of all personal and financial information
• Follow the policies as set forth in the appropriate employee handbook
• Identify and integrate new digital tools and professional certifications to promote efficacy and accessibility
• Other occasional duties and responsibilities as assigned
