EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Full-time seasonal May-September (40 hours per week).
SUPERVISOR: Retail Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Assist with retail administration and buying paperwork (purchase orders and receipt vouchers), perform accurate data entry and/or data compilation, maintain retail files, provide sales and customer service in person, over the phone, and via email, and assist the Vice President of Retail with other projects as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Strong attention to detail.
2. Strong organizational skills.
3. Strong customer service skills.
4. Proficiency with computer operations, including Microsoft Office programs (specifically Word and Excel) and Retail Pro.
5. Strong problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to multi-task.
7. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
8. Ability to professionally represent the Vice President of Retail and buyers of the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. through phone, email and other communication.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Know and understand the objectives and strategies of the Retail department.
2. Compile sales data and update sales reports and/or spreadsheets in a timely manner as required and email or present to Vice President of Retail.
3. Create purchase orders in Retail Pro and email/fax them to vendor reps as approved by the Buyers.
4. Maintain a confirmation log and calendar for all purchase orders with appropriate follow-up and shipment confirmation.
5. Review merchandise paperwork and enter receipt voucher information into Retail Pro; compile discrepancy reports as necessary for vendor representatives.
6. Track merchandise on order and notify buyers of any delays.
7. Maintain organized retail vendor files as necessary.
8. Record detailed phone messages on behalf of the Buyers.
9. Provide customer service to customers in Steamboat Landing and over the phone.
10. Track salmon sales and report to Retail Manager weekly.
11. Label and package salmon for shipment as necessary.
12. Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Vice President of Retail or General Manager of Retail.
