The FRED MEYER Clackamas Distribution Center is a proud member of the nation-wide Kroger Family of Companies. We are currently looking for Clerical Associates to become a part of our General Merchandise Complex. This is an entry level clerical position that starts at $15.00/hr. The General Merchandise Complex is a union warehouse and the shift(s) that you are scheduled are based by seniority, you must be able to work all shifts including day and swing.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist and provide clerical support for the Distribution Center office. Role model and demonstrate the Company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of self and others.

Fred Meyer also requires that all associates perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service * Answer incoming calls and direct them appropriately * Greet visitors, as needed * Create memos, correspondence, and other documents * Provide assistance at the following areas: split/loam, verification, pallet label/receiving, arrival, appointment, inventory control, report, import and swing-shift/graveyard desks * Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus one-three months clerical experience; or combination of relevant education and experience. * Minimum 18 years of age * Ability to pass drug test * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Ability to work overtime on an occasional basis * Ability to work any shift * Ability to travel independently on an occasional basis * Maintain confidentiality * Accuracy/attention to detail * Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects * Ability to work within set time frames and fixed deadlines * 10,000 SPH ten-key * 40 WPM typing * Ability to continue education, as necessary * Valid driver's license

DESIRED PREVIOUS JOB EXPERIENCE:

* Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure * Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
