The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) for Pacific Sales works closely with the Store Manager (SM) to oversee daily store operations. The ASM is responsible for individual sales performance and supports the SM with the overall sales performance of the store. This role will oversee the customer experience from the time of sale to installation. Additionally, they will provide supervision and feedback to employees. The ASM has extensive industry knowledge and sales experience, primarily in appliance sales. This role interacts daily with a variety of customers, contractors, and designers. They must be able to problem solve, make judgment calls, and be able to educate consumers and conduct in various transactions by applying their depth of product knowledge. This position is designed to help prepare and develop individuals for a SM position, requiring the ability to manage stores with revenues of $12M up to $55M.

Key Responsibilities
Helps drive a positive customer experience by building relationships, exhibiting empathy, and providing solutions to their needs.
Displays the ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions in order to best serve customers and ensure repeat business.
Ensures all customers receive accurate and timely service from the sales staff. Approves price changes offered to customers within established guidelines and circumstances.
Oversees the sales experience from initial contact with customer, through delivery and installation. This role is responsible for following up with customers, designers, and contractors.
Utilizes vendor resources to assist with specific technical questions. Tracks orders through completion and acts as a resource for customer concerns, identifying the appropriate remedy. Manages pricing decisions and customer interactions within the store.
Applies and leverages their knowledge of design to every sale so that customer orders are correct and delivered to specification. Will be able to apply basic measurement techniques and display an in-depth knowledge of built-in appliances.
Partners with the Store Manager to coordinate and attend vendor-offered product training and other development opportunities.
In partnership with the Store Manager, supervises and develops 15-25 store employees in sales and sales support. Offers input on hiring decisions with the Store Manager and other leaders, including Senior Management. Provides recommendations to Store Manager on performance management, pay changes, and opportunities to promote employees.
Provides daily guidance to employees, directs daily work of all staff within the store, and facilitates employee training. This individual will lead by example by embracing and displaying our Company Values to both employees and customers.
Basic Qualifications
2 years or more of direct appliance sales experience
2 years or more of sales team and store management experience
2 years or more of customer service and engagement experience
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of experience selling premium free-standing appliances
Associate Degree in Business or Sales Management
