DC Team Lead- 2nd Shift

General Summary: DC team leader is focused on coordinating activities with associates to facilitate the movement of tasks and goods though a defined set of processes designed to meet organizational service expectations. 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

*Leads, motivates and directs up to 25 associates *Responsible for the coordination of tactical activities with hourly associates (receiving, picking, packing, shipping) *Engage partner departments and associates in problem resolution process to assure service outcomes are meeting expectations *Identify, resolve and communicate exceptions with Distros and waves to operational partners *Functional subject matter expert for outbound WM, WCS and Beumer *Maintains a clean and safe work environment *Promote safety at all times and report safety violations to Area Manager *Monitor and communicate issues with safety, security, building control to Area Manager *Cross train and effectively be able to operate in other departments and responsibilities based on business requirements along with other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Competencies:

*Aility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers *Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions *Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to support workload requirements

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

Experience:

*2-3 years' experience in a leadership role; preferably in a DC environment *Minimum of 1 year experience with WMS (Manhattan preferred) and WCS software *Expert understanding of RF processes with strong ability to train new and existing associates *Advanced PC skills; including Excel, Word, Access and Outlook

 

Education:

*High school diploma or equivalent
