Role Summary:

The Senior Manager of Video Production reports to the Senior Director of Creative Operations, who is responsible for the production, operations, business affairs and creative technologies in the Best Buy Creative team. Best Buy Creative is an in-house, highly talented Creative team fully dedicated to the creation, collaboration and solutioning of Customer, Vendor and Partner needs. The Senior Manager, Video Production is a differentiated and dedicated expert, leading content production within Best Buy and responsible for planning, oversight and end to end management/execution of Marketing broadcast and video productions, varied widely in size and complexities. In this role, this leader will: Activate to ensure effective, efficient productions aligned with articulated expectations, which vary by execution and project

Demonstrate consistent flexibility and commitment to cross-functional partnership; at times activating as the lead producer to centralize the production/resources and, at times, activating as a production liaison to an external production partner

Hold core responsibility for proactive, impeccable communication, advocacy and collaboration across a wide range of partners in Marketing & Media

Be a possibility and solutions-oriented leader; defining and/or managing new workstreams as our business and needs evolve

Key Responsibilities:

Applies experience as a hands-on expert Production Leader; leading, partnering and driving every step of the production process from conception through launch

Oversees, directs and determines production-specific requirements; assembles, engages and manages team/stakeholders

Drives process and consistent creation of deliverables; provides insights and recommendations to achieve articulated goals

Expertly and articulately manages/owns production budgets and outcomes from initial estimate(s) to reconciliation

Relationship management and development with external production companies and partners

Owns responsibility to partner with stakeholders to intake feedback on concepts, scripts and rough cuts, ensuring legal feedback is connected and manages/documents approvals through the production process

Learns, understands, advocates and trains production best practices, enterprise best practices and expectations

Reinforces established enterprise procurement, business affairs, and finance guidelines with external production companies and partners

Experience:

8 years experience as a lead producer with experience producing end to end in broadcast, social and digital video executions

6 years experience with scaled production shoots ranging from budgets that are small/scrappy to significant

6 years experience working in a cross-functional environment where content is influenced by multiple stakeholders, including external clients

Independently proficient in MS Office suite: Word, Excel, Power Point

Preferred Experience:

Agency experience 5 years experience producing content in a highly-creative environment, for stakeholders with strong opinions and discerning creative taste

6 years managing any of the following: freelance, third party and production/agency relationships

Basic knowledge of Production Business Affairs; ability to differentiate between working with Union and Non-Union talent and production crews

5 years proven leadership experience with direct reports

Development, standing up new work streams, teaching new ways of working
